The History of Our Mount Rainier Resort
Originally known as Billings Lodge, the property has seen a number of ownership and name changes over the years. Built in 1920 by Ann Billings and a carpenter friend, it served as both residence and a vacation home to Ann and her 5 daughters until 1932. With the depression in full swing, and needing a source of income, Ann turned the home into a boarding house and began to build rental cabins.
Since then the resort has grown to include 9 cabins, RV spaces, tent spaces, and 1 vacation homes located nearby.
